Blogger ...Hi everyone, sorry for the delayed reply. Blogger hasn't been letting me post comments for some reason. Trying to give this another go:

Ashleigh- yes, I think you are right, that is a great compromise for the upcoming week. Several others have suggested it too.

Cherie43- Thanks for the comment, the knitting is meant to take a bit longer than it would to watch the show. The idea is that you begin the knitting while watching, but then you have a little to work on during the week too. I hope this makes sense.

DulcieAnne- You should be able to just start knitting at this point, the pattern is all ready to go.

emjayaitch- sorry for that copy and paste error. I fixed it a few days ago. Hopefully you've seen the last edits by now. Week 3 was all set though with no errors. That should be the case for the rest of the clues as well. Thanks for sticking with it!

jimmersgal- there is not a video to my knowledge. This is more of a reverse of the k1f&b. Instead you knit into the back first, then bring the needle to the front and knit into it from there. Does this help?

Evening Star Quilters- did you end up getting it to print? What I do when it doesn't print correctly is I copy the entire text and paste it into a word doc and print it from there. That way you don't get any of the junk in the sidebar either. Does this help?

Best,
Kristen
KristenJBWhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06202144493292028555noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-76116971708921039532014-01-20T18:53:12.122-08:002014-01-20T18:53:12.122-08:00Kristen - I'm waiting for my yarn and eager to...Kristen - I'm waiting for my yarn and eager to start. (Should arrive tomorrow.) This is my first KAL, so I'm a bit anxious about being behind. Any tips to help me catch up?? How important is the timing of the clues/prompts. Do I need to re-watch the episodes?? Or can I just knit.DulcieAnnenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-50394144631283271042014-01-20T08:51:23.788-08:002014-01-20T08:51:23.788-08:00I am very glad you are including the stitch ct. I too am kinda disappointed here.cheriei43https://www.blogger.com/profile/11150250319153881499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-40086710093364387892014-01-19T18:41:29.442-08:002014-01-19T18:41:29.442-08:00In the Rib Lace section update from 1/15 and repea...In the Rib Lace section update from 1/15 and repeated in your post for today, Row 8 is printed out as "Row 6". The directions state "k4, *p5" etc. It should be listed as "Row 8" and it should read "k4, *p6".......shouldn't it? For an enthusiastic intermediate level knitter, I am working way too hard to get my knitting to come out right. I'm not giving up yet, but I am losing my enthusiasm and my confidence. I hope week 3 and the rest of the knit along won't require so much editing. This should be a lot more fun than it has been so far. Thanks for your efforts, but I am disappointed.emjayaitchnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-29954779413385442592014-01-19T09:04:52.546-08:002014-01-19T09:04:52.546-08:00I think Then I made a boo-boo when you state "...I think Then I made a boo-boo when you state "On the rows when you get to 2 last stitches...yo ssk BUT DON'T DROP OFF THE STS, then knit into the front of the stitches...
Is there a video on Youtube I can refer too in order to achieve this? It shows a blank page in the preview. I like the stitch count. It helps me. I also like the visuals. It lets me know whether I am doing things correctly. I am more interested in knitting things correctly than solving a mystery, but I am not an advanced knitter.Evening Star Quiltershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17769561357341088587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-42723670838609511762014-01-19T07:40:28.236-08:002014-01-19T07:40:28.236-08:00Thanks so much for working so hard on this, Kriste...Thanks so much for working so hard on this, Kristen!

I agree with you that providing the stitch counts takes a bit of the fun of the mystery out of the equation. That said, having read the ravelry thread, I understand why you felt the need to include them this week.

Maybe a good compromise would be to not include stitch counts with the clues that are issued prior to the episode (so the section/clue order is not revealed too early), but do include them in the pattern key issued the following Monday (so that folks can check their work, or wait to begin then if they so desire)?

Looking forward to some knitting and the episode tonight!

--AshleighAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274338570144827085.post-54473559517941317562014-01-19T07:38:23.703-08:002014-01-19T07:38:23.703-08:00Thank you for all the hard work you've put int...Thank you for all the hard work you've put into this!
