Brave New Knits Book signing!!

I am getting very excited about Julie Turjoman coming next week on Thursday the 28th from 6:00-8:00 pm! She will be here signing her new book Brave New Knits and will have the entire trunk show with her!!

Several of us have already knit projects from the book and there isn't much in this book that I don't want to knit up!

Julie decided that the 'cyber' knitters needed to be recognized and she gathered them all into one forum and the result is WOW!

Sandy is knitting the Orchid Thief Shawl by Ysolda Teague's and she knit the Hydrangea Neckwarmer by Anne Hanson. I knit one too out of the Classic Elite Fresco in red. It is a great project and worked up quickly.

Sandy is using the Malabrigo Sock for her Orchid Thief and I can't wait to see it finished!

We are getting a nice little group that have RSVP'd and I know we are going to have a ton of fun!! I hope you can come and visit with Julie and just have a great time!

I met Julie at Stitches West last year and she is really down to earth, so I know you will love meeting her. If you can come let us know and will save a spot for you!

As always happy knitting and crocheting!

October newsletter, Plymouth's newsletter, Project Packs...Phew!!

So the 1st is here and the new quarter has begun and that means that you have all seen Goblin and gotten your rewards too! I am so in love with the Goblin that I am pretty sure that I will be getting some in the Misti Alpaca Baby Me Boo, as well as my sock (that is already wound and ready to go) for something yummy!

Everyone who orders the Goblin will be getting one of our new Project Packs which has a fantastic free pattern on it. This applies to our in store customers too!

I also wanted to thank Plymouth Yarns for mentioning our shop in their most recent newsletter and they talked about how we started and where we are now (thanks to all of you)!!

I am really excited to be carrying so many amazing Plymouth Yarns and have so far used the Mushshi in my Traveling Woman shawl! I LOVE it for sure and can't wait to use the Royal Llama yummy!!!

I am dizzy and I need to sit down...all this new stuff has me a little light headed!

As always happy knitting and crocheting!

"Goblin" Up Some Baby Me Boo!

The Goblin is out of the bag! October's Limited Edition Color, Goblin, conjures images of everything from ghoulish goblins to caramel apples, maple trees halfway through autumn and the awesome pair of socks you could be knitting with a hank of Goblin :)

Not only do we have a spectacular color this month, we are also thrilled to announce that Misti Alpaca has hopped onto the Limited Edition band wagon and Lorna's will be dying a small amount of the luxurious Baby Me Boo yarn in the monthly color -starting with Goblin! If you aren't familiar with it, Misti's Baby Me Boo is is a fiber to die for with it's deliciously soft texture and silken sheen! Fun Fact: the cutesy name for this yarn actually comes from it's fiber content! Baby (baby alpaca) Me (merino wool) Boo (bamboo). This gorgeous, loosely spun yarn is guaranteed to go quickly, so be sure to order yours today! Quantities are limited and once its gone, its gone!

Happy Knitting and Crocheting!

Leanne :)
